Fishing condition were made extremely difficult due to the floating duck weed which was all blown down the trader into the Bargate system overnight.

Most anglers had to result in fishing heavier pole floats than they would normally use on this venue just to get the bait and the float to sit right in the weed.

Taking full advantage of this and drawing end peg, Brian Blackamore putting 4lb 15ozs into the scales fishing pinkie over ground bait heavily lassed with squats. Taking 2nd place 2lb 2ozs behind Brian Clarke fished the pole pinkie over ground bait. 3rd place with 3ozs behind was Mark Cook who fished the pole and big maggot over ground bait and chopped worm.
